    Controller 1708 doesn't work in Xbox one 2014


    Hy, After my old controller broken from Mine 2014 Xbox one console, i bought a new one, Type 1708.

    After connecting with USB cable to console, the controller doesn't connect. After putting the old battery pack from old Controller into new one, The same problem occur.

    Pressing the connect button on Controller about 3-4 seconds, then press the button on the console. Light on controller flash very fast, but After Minutes no connection between the two devices. Every steps from the helping support doesn't work. Is there
    any problem with this controller on old xbox one devices?

    Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by controller model 1708, but is recognized by controller model 1697

    - Chat Headset model 1564 is not recognized by newer controller model 1708, but is recognized by older controller model 1697 (and older). Party chat/xbox doesn't recognize it, mute button doesn't work, volume doesn't work, mic/ear piece doesn't work, etc.

    - happens on 2 different 1708 controllers (1 brand new from box)

    - headset is brand new from box

    - controllers are all updated with latest firmware

    - 1708 controllers recognize older chat headset (but mic is broken - also model 1564 mic) and recognize 3.5mm headsets (3rd party brands)

    - system has been power cycled multiple times, controllers have been powered on/off multiple times

    - new mic is not recognized in controller setups on newer 1708 controllers

    - old mic and 3.5mm headphones are recognized on newer 1708 controller and older versions in controller setup options

    - xbox gamer chat support suggested possible faulty controllers - hard to believe it's the exact same thing on 2 different controllers bought a year apart happening at the same time.

    any suggestions/ideas?

    fried controller motherboard (model 1708)

    i have the xbox one s controller (model 1708) and it would appear that the lower motherboard has fried and i cannot find a replacement anywhere on the computer can anyone help

    Why can I only connect one of my 2 controllers to my pc?

    Im using it through installation but its not getting reconised by my pc. The controller alone works fine with my xbox however its working on my pc. Its the 1708 Model controller which is not working but my other one is also a 1708 Model but it is beeing recoised by my pc.

    Mines a 1708 and I bought the chatpad from Microsoft and it will not fit the 1708 Controller its a fact thats why there are all these Chatpad non xbox brand Xbox One s controller adapters out there to address this issue Id get one but since its not Xbox
    Brand I dont know if it will fix the no sound no microphone headset issue that happened to both if my head sets thr same day that were working fine simultaneously the day before it had something tk do wuth tge update

    Yes, elite series 2 is not supported yet.

    Xbox One S Controller (Model 1708) can pair with iphone.

    [Bug report] after wake up gamepad is no sound in headset connected to audio jack of gamepad

    It could also be a controller problem, if you can't solve it you can always replace the controller under warranty
    The issue only reproduced on controller model 1708. I also have the elite controller model 1698 on this device the issue doesn't reproduce.

    Could somebody who has controller model 1708 check this issue on their controllers? It is needed for making sure that it was not a problem specifically my instance.

    Steps for reproducing:

    1. Switch on the console.

    2. Plug your headset to the controller.

    3. Make sure that all works as expected, the sound played through headset.

    4. Wait 15 minutes (this is default time for gamepad sleep mode)

    5. Wakeup the gamepad by pressing the power button (button with the XBOX logo) on the gamepad.

    6. Make sure that after wakeup is no sound in the headset plugged to the gamepad.
