    Controlers are cheaply made and MS should be ashamed.


    I bought a new 3.5mm controller xbox brand. Now roughly a month and a half later of use and zero drops the right bumper buttons cheap plastic has snapped and the button has fallen out. Now I'm left searching for a receipt to see if I can possibly return
    it(most likely not). How can you charge 59.99 for something that breaks due to extremely cheap plastics. I picked up my old controller that came with system I bought last August and you can feel the difference in the buttons immediately.

    Why so cheaply made?

    In the last year I have bought 4 xb1 controllers, one in which was elite "lasted less time then normal controllers" . All barely outside of warranty limit when they break. I bought the elite controller in February and it was messing up by April. The way
    these controllers break is always left analog stick stuck moving on direction or another and on of the bumpers "cheapest part of controller" left or right ends up sticking making my gaming experience less then desirable. I take care of my expensive items with
    the upmost of care. I just want a item that I pay good amount of money for to last. Refunds for old and replacement for elite controller should be in order but no warranty is available as it just ran up.

    under the rights of australian and nz consumer legislation which microsoft can NOT avoid we get a 12 month warranty over here regardless of what microsoft says. the law is above any contract and lol microsoft has to fork out the money when replacing faulty
    controllers. ive had my turtle beach 500x replaced 3x with a brand new pair of turtle beach 500x headsets due to it cracking and not built durable enough.

    And yet there are those of us that have had Elite controllers pretty much since they went on sale and haven't had any issues. Not saying you or anyone else is lying about this, just that it may not be as widespread an issue as you believe. If it really
    was Microsoft likely would have been forced to admit it by now (like with the red ring issues on the 360).

    IIf only US law was a strict as australia and nz law regarding consumer products. microsoft must be having fun loosing money for dishing out free replacement controllers for australian and nz customers who have had faulty controllers under what we enjoy
    a longer warranty courtesy of our governments.

    ELITE CONTROLLERS ARE SCAMS, the d pad especially is completely fake like you could get a better one from CHINA.

    DO not buy. They must of made great profits off scamming their customers for this. Sticking with all normal parts from now on.

    Didn't even bother getting mine replaced. I used that controller literally a handful of times.

    Bravo to those of us who were smart enough not to buy one. My two Day 23 standard controllers are still working fine. With that said... $190 is nothing IMO. A cheap pair of shoes cost more. :)
