Control Ultimate not loading on Series S

I played the base version of Control on my Series S via gamepass. I finished the main game and wanted to play to expansions also. I figured best way to do it would be to get the Ultimate versions so I could play the expansions and wait on the next-gen
upgrades. When I try to start Ultimate it goes from the splash page to the store page where it tells me I own it. I click on launch and it keeps going back to the splash page and store page.

Does the Ultimate version not work on next-gen consoles until Feb? Can I use my save data from the base game on Gamepass with the ultimate version?

It doesnt exist because it is a seperate game, and will not be finalized for end customers until February

Understand and update: the add ons work with the base game. And I understand that the ultimate version doesn't load yet because the game hasn't been released. Will the save states carry over? I was thinking of waiting to play the addons until the next
gen version arrives, but if I have to start all over, I'll just knock them out now...

Also it’s not a trial. I bought the Xbox Series S starter bundle with one controller and a 3 month ultimate game pass

Unless you plan to buy either a Series S or Series X in the not too distant future, you might want to think about cancelling your pre-order for Starfield. The game will be part of the GP Ultimate as a game stream if you subscribe to the service.

You can play Xbox Ultimate cloud streamed games on phone's, tablets, PC/laptops and on Xbox consoles as long as you have an ultimate subscription and a compatible controller.

I had the same problem but I sent a series s controller and I got a one s controller in return, and the series s controller I sent came with my Xbox, brand new
