    Control pad disconnecting


    Been playing my replacement console for about a month, since Diablo 3 release, no issue. After applying the control pad update it now keeps disconnecting randomly. This has happened before with a previous console that was replaced.

    I think it's about time Microsoft gave us an answer as to why this keeps happening? I'm really getting a bit sick of the issue being ignored and not being given an explanation or it being dealt with. After seven control pads and two consoles since November,
    I'm seriously thinking about taking it back for a refund and not bothering with another Xbox One at this rate.

    Microsoft, what the bloody hell is going on?!

    All control pads disconnect

    hello, I have purchased an Xbox One and the control pad that came with it keeps disconnecting. Because this was frustrating I decided to buy one of the new Call of Duty Advanced Warfare control pad and this keeps disconnecting too so I am guessing the problem
    must be with the console.

    my question is : what do I do to get this problem sorted out?

    Sorry to hear about the controller disconnect issues. I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps if you haven't already to see if we can get this issue sorted.



    Please give the following steps a try:



    • First try moving closer to your console.
    • Remove any objects that are between your controller and your console.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and check to see if the controller disconnects continue to occur.
    • If the issue continues, try replacing the batteries in your controller with a fresh set of batteries.

    Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if you continue to experience the controller disconnects.

    Brotherhood glitch?

    Controllers disconnecting this way can sometimes be cause by the rumble feature in the pad. If it is too severe and the battery is a little loose it can break the contact and turn off the pad.

    Try turning off the rumble feature and see if it happens again.
