    Regardless of being wired or not, a Xbox One controller will not connect to a Xbox 360. The only way to play a xbox 360 game with a xbox one controller is if the game supports backwards compatibility, which must be played on the Xbox one.

    I would say the xbox one controller is better for fortnite and since the 360 controller people still use today for Gta 5 but that is only on the Xbox 360, because Xbox 360 controllers do not work on
    an Xbox One, so you'll need an Xbox One controller. You cannot use an Xbox 360 controller to play games on an Xbox One.

    A 360 controller will work with a 360 console, and an Xbox one controller will work with an Xbox One, but a 360 controller will not work with an Xbox One and vice versa.

    Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver    . Since the Xbox 360 controller and Xbox One controller use different wireless technologies, the new receiver is not compatible with 360 controllers.
