Control not working on PC game pass

Trying to play control on PC gamepass. When I launch the game it shows the remedy and publisher logos etc then goes black before going back to the desktop.

I have the latest radeon drivers (5700XT, 21.8.1) and latest windows 10 version (21H1 19043.1165).

I have tried reinstalling the game and also tried rolling back graphics drivers. I have also tried running the application as admin and also in windows 7 compatibility mode.

In event viewer I can see the following error:

the controller I leave it in DirectInput again,the funny thing is that in the xbox pass menu in adndroid, the controller works, but when I get into a game it stops working.

And if I connect it to the pc in Xinput it works without problems

I'm the guy who had the same issue with my Alienware, after talking with the developer I checked View All Problem Reports from Control Panel that showed the 3rd party program crashing the Control game. When I uninstalled and reinstalled it that didn't work so I went into the Dell Alienware forum and they instructed me to use Revo Unistaller Free to get rid of all traces of program, along with registries. They gave me specific instructions on how to reinstall the program which worked.

If you don't see any other programs crashing it then I would contact 505Games to create a trouble ticket.

Maybe a third party program is causing the problem, I saw a case that the Alienware program was crashing the game. Perform a clean boot and disable third party programs that are running/starting with the system. Also check if your antivirus has not quarantined the game

It is working now but I have no idea what fixed it. I viewed the problem reports and cleared the history and now it works (no idea how this could be related but it's the only change I made)

This was our buddy who was having problems with the game. I recommend contacting the developer to help you in-depth on this and try to find out if there is a problem with any third-party programs.
