    I have just got a new LG 43 inch TV, and I'm setting it up with my Xbox One to allow it to be controlled by the Xbox, during the guided setup the entire thing works fine, it sends all of the commands to my TV and the TV receives them, however after the setup
    is finished when I use my media remote or my voice nothing happens, it does not work at all, although it still turns the TV on and off on startup and shutdown, have tried a lot of things to fix it and can't find anything else online. It is very annoying having
    to use multiple remotes when watching Netflix on my Xbox, any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

    TV model: LG 43LF590V.

    Xbox is on instant on mode.

    Had it since march 2014, worked fine with my other TV.

    Stefraki, you are correct... if I was still under the limited warranty (which I might be) I could get a free replacement, but as I didn't purchase an extended warranty through Best Buy, I would have to go with the MS, and that would be more problems than
    it is worth... In respect to my original question, I dusted off my Day One Edition Xbox One controller, and sure enough, it worked fine for the most part. I then tested the alt controller, and my "newer" Xbox One controller is definitely shot. control issues :( Warranties
    are a good idea, but I doubt they are going to cover Excessive Sadira Usage Syndrome. control issues :p

    Controler issues

    There's most likely something causing interference either in your home or one of your neighbours. It sounds like the wireless band is pretty congested in your area there.

    If you cannot find the source of the interference, I suggest you connect the controllers to the console via USB.

    Does it work through the smart glass app? If anything is blocking The IR line of sight I've found that control can be hit or miss, but for some reason it always seems to work when I use the smart glass app.

    I haven't tried it, I also don't have access to it at the moment as my phone is broken and it will probably be a while before i get a new one, there is nothing in the way, i've tried moving things around but no luck, and my TV is controlled fine during the
    set up process, just not after that.

    It sounds like you're not hitting the sync button on the console itself.



    With your console powered on, hit the Guide button. Wait for the LEDs to start flashing. Once they're flashing, hit the sync button (near the Play & Charge cable port). The LEDs on the controller will start spinning. After you've hit that, hit the Sync button
    on the front of the consoles. On the original 360 it's its own button to the right of the MU ports. On the 360 S it's the IR window/button to the left of the front USB trap door. Once you hit the sync button on the console, the Ring of Light on the console
    should start spinning.

    Controllers do wear out. Every gamer handles it different and your movements will do that to the joystick. Certain games are harder on different buttons. Thats a battlefield controller :) mine looks just like it. Its a battle hardened controller that might
    need to be retired. It happens to the best of us.
