    Continuous Cloud Errors - Lost Save Data


    There seems to be a continuous error with the cloud when you have two xbox live profiles signed in at once. In the last week, I have lost all the save data from Binding of Issac and Hand of Fate. Both happened with a "synch error" when asking me to choose
    a profile to play on.

    Is there a backup of the cloud anywhere, or a way to save games locally? I really don't want to spend months trying to unlock everything on Issac again, and I was on the final 2 cards of Hand of Fate in story mode....

    got my save backed up in cloud but never lost any data yet, but i did read if u lose ur data b4 u load up the cloud data go to ur xbox memory and delete ur gears 3 data from the harddrive then load up cloud cos if u load the cloud data right away theres
    a chance that could become corrupted aswell

    WARNING-- DO NOT PLAY GEARS OF WAR 3 IT WILL FREEZE AND RESET ALL YOUR GAME STATS!!!!!!!!!!

    i backup my gears save in the cloud every couple of levels i go up just incase. there was a post on the epic forums who was doing the same they lost all there data so tried the data in the cloud and it worked fine so i would use cloud save cos its free and
    saves slot of hassle if it does all get wiped

    about the only thing you can try is to delete the local saves on the CONSOLE ONLY ( highlight the game from games and apps , press the menu button on the controller , select manage game , then saved data , then local or console only) after that go into
    settings and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while it is off , unplug your
    modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up . re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while but all SHOULD be good
    afterwards ...

    Transferring games\data

    It depends on the game really...if it has cloud saves, then your data won't be lost as it is in the cloud (all my games I was able to continue where I left off when I transferred consoles).

    Games which only have local saves would require you to transfer the saves between consoles before wiping the XB1 (unless of course there is a way to cloud save)

    You missed the point entirely.

    Xbox Life Cloud Save continued syncing with my local Xbox One hard drive every time I started the game. The complete safe was never lost, otherwise the sync would have restored it.

    When part of my information disappeared, the sync still happened, but treated the new version -- with the missing data -- as official, and overwrite the other save (that was not missing anything) with the one that was.

    Cloud save worked to back up my save, but could not recognize that my save had mysteriously lost some data.

    Hi Synthia,

    What’s the specific game, or are multiple games affected? You might have some success recovering certain in-game content if you contact the developer.

    If the save data was deleted locally, then everything should simply resync once you relaunch the game. If it’s the cloud save that was deleted, however, then there isn’t currently any solution.

    It’s unfortunately not possible to recover any game save data/progress once it’s been deleted everywhere - this is permanent with immediate effect.

    Similarly, if a game save is overwritten or corrupted, then the previous save would be lost and the only option would be to continue with the new one.

    Also keep in mind that games and game progress are associated to your account/profile and not the device itself.
