CONTINUED black screen flash, Philips TV

We have had continued black screen flash on our Philips HDTV since day one. The Xbox one will display a black screen, no sound for 3-5 seconds multiple times, randomly, during games, live TV, DVD, sometimes it's almost unusable. We have tried alternative
hdmi cables and this makes no change. Looking on here it seems other Philips owners have the same issue, the tv is recent and was over £1000 so to find this issue is not good. Looks like Sony Bravia owners are experiencing similar

I has no optical so direct Xbox -> TV using the HDMI high speed with Ethernet cable and setting stereo audio. I has noticed an improve. A black screen flash I think is signal of sync, if we have various or delayed it can be because sync problems.

The results, when connecting to:

- Xbox ->(stock cable) ->A/V receiver -> (HDMI high speed) -> TV: 1 black screen flash within 10 seconds of power on.

- Xbox -> (HDMI high speed cable) -> TV: 1 black screen flash within 1 minute.

- Xbox -> (stock cable) -> TV: multiple black screen flashes within 10 minutes.

The results are good at least for my TV (Philips), because within 1 minute I am loading the game/App yet, or maybe on dashboard.

I would try contacting the TV manufacturer and see if they have any info on this. Also, I'm not sure if you've done so already, but try Googling the topic as well and see if anyone has a fix.

I did a quick Google search and found the following possible solutions:

Many TV have ran into the same issues with Xbox One or 360, such as a Philips 32PRL5405H/5, 42PFL6805H/12, Sony KDL-40EX401 and more. If your TV turns black screen and loses sound while the game is playing in background, you could try any of the following
tips to reoslve the problem:

* Use a memory USB STICK and follow the instructions to update Philips TV to the newest Firmware SOFTWARE. I notice it was outdated from 2009 and this method worked for me.

You also need to INSTALL the New Preview Update Firmware Version on your Xbox One.

* Change your HDMI CABLE or try another HDMI Port. Faulty HDMI CABLE might cause the dropouts audio.

* Go into the console’s Setting, in Picture Settings, change the Auto-detect to Manual 1080p.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful, but I have a Vizio TV, and have never had a problem like this. As always, exercise some caution and common sense when using 3rd party fixes. If it sounds sketchy, don't attempt it. This info sounds pretty safe, so I would
try these and check back.

I can tell you all These steps does not fix it permanently, there is a Need of Software fixes...!!!

except it has changed now in 1409 what would be awsome, but we will see...

I don`t think that it is fixed, maybe a Little bit better...

Okay, so my edit disappeared and it won't let me edit it now. Try doing a power cycle on your TV (By turning it off and unplugging it). Otherwise, you can try and do a factory reset on your console.

I would really recommend that you see if you can update your TV's software if you have a smart TV, look up your model number on Philip's website. Your TV should tell you the software version in the settings somewhere, and if you don't have the most recent
version, I would update it.

Maybe you can do this directly from your TV settings, or you might have to do it manually by downloading the new software to USB, and installing it that way. That all depends on your TV.

If this doesn't work, then you are correct in saying that it is on Xbox's end, and that it will need to be patched via an update for your console. I sincerely hope your issue gets fixed soon.

This issue occurs since Fbruary or March if not December 2013....

I know the standart Troubleshooting Steps and I^ve done them...

MS Needs to do smomething or MS has to tell the TV-Brands what they have to do...

If you have not this Problem be happy. your suggestions are good but in this case, I can tell you.

I^ve tried it.. Hard Reboot is not a permanent fix... with some TV models and I^ve a 2010-2011 Modell what is not old...

I also hope our Issue will be fixed in next months..!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about this. I've done what I can for you, and it seems that this is out of our control at this point. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next update or two... I do know that they've been doing a lot of work to add better support for more
TVs, so I wish you the best of luck.

I too have tried most of the steps above will double check my latest tv updates though, it has been going on since launch of the xb1

 

Maybe somebody can try to ask Philips it they are Know that? I would appriciete when somebody could Do it?

 

NO i have the same problem with my philips TV, the screen become black and sound loss for 3-4s.

i wrote my problems on xbox feedback but nothing...

in this state the experience is bad.

in addition i have problem of color while looking TV (and as if the feature of my TV were not compatible with xbox one)

looking the next update on major nelson blog i dont belive that the problem will be resolved shortly if ever........ (sorry for my english i am italian guy)

I have the same problem for the last 6 months... I have spoken with Microsoft and today I have received a new console.

When I began to install Halo, the problem persist. No matter the console, the problem persists. I have been playing Destiny, Halo and watching a movie and all went fine, but I'm afraid that the problem is the TV.

I have tried a lot of things and nothing solves the problem. I use the console on a Philips 42 LED television. The model is Philips 42PFL7655H/12.

The last thing I can do is to play for a long sesion in a LG 24 TFT, my second TV. I don't remember if I have had that issue in this TV.

One more thing to say. I loose image and sound. Last week I lost image for 2 seconds and when the image retuned, the sound wasn't returned until 30 seconds.

Hope Xbox will fix the problem because I don't think that Philips will make something.
