    Continue to receive error code 801540A9 when trying to download gamer profile to XBOX 360


    Bought new PC with Windows 10 which included the XBOX Live app. When profile opened it signed me out of my XBOX 360 and will now allow me to sign in. Attempted to download my profile but only receive error message 801540A9 "Sorry, XBOX Live profiles can't
    be downloaded right now. Try again later." According to support this error message seems to apply to XBOX One console. Their solution did not work.

    I'm trying to download my profile and I keep getting error code 801540A9. When searching for help in Xbox live site, only result is for One. Can anyone help me?

    When Ever I Try To Download My Xbox Live Profile It Gives Me This Error Message.

    "Sorry, Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later."

    And I Get The Error Code: 801540A9

    Please Help! Continue to receive error code 801540A9 when trying to download gamer profile to XBOX 360 :(

    start the game then press the Menu and View buttons (the buttons either side of the Xbox button with 3 horizontal lines and 2 overlapping squares)

    this should allow you to download your profile and sign in to your Xbox profile (it's the same profile for Xbox 360 and Xbox One)

    Hi Andrew,

    I'm sorry to hear this is happening. We'll be glad to assist you further with this, I do have a question I would like to clarify. Since you're attempting to play this game on the Xbox One and it's asking you to sign in to your 360 profile, do you attempt
    to download a complete different profile from the one you're signed in to the Xbox one? Reason I ask this is a common thing that happens when It prompts to have you download the profile on what appears to be the '360 dashboard' on the Xbox one you just need
    to re-download the profile you have/ are signed in on the Xbox One.

    Now, if you're trying to sign in and it is the same account for Xbox one and the 360 and it's prompting you this error code then this troubleshooting article may help further
