Continue remote play on console

If I am playing a game using remote play from my Xbox One to my portable device, can I pause the game on the portable device and then continue playing the game on the Xbox One console?

Basically, what I want to do is start a game that takes a long time to load (farming simulator 22), get past all the trailers and login screens, load the current save game (which takes 5+ minutes) and then switch controls back to the console so I can play it on the console.

It is possible, yes.

You should first "Turn On" remotely your console (not just loading a game remotely).

So it properly is powered on and on full display, then you can remote play and load the game.

When you are back in front of your TV you can manually go to your Xbox Guide and end the streaming / remote play and continue from where you left it.

Take in consideration that you will have to disable the turning your console off automatically if is inactive for any period of time, and if your console is connected via HDMI-CEC consider the same parameter of your TV, so it won't turn your Xbox as well.

In short, it is possible to do what you want, but you might end spending more energy by doing so.

Yes, you can do that. Basically when you do remote play your console turns on.
So, as long as you don't select "shutdown" console manually the console is stay active depending on the energy settings established by you previously (I mean, how much the console takes to suspend, etc)

The remote play settings are not specific to each account but rather a general console setting. It doesn't matter which account configures it; if someone else disables the remote play setting on the console, you won't be able to continue playing that way unless you reconfigure it.

If remote play is already enabled on your console and the mobile app asks you to enable it on Xbox, go to the My Library tab and select Consoles. Then scroll down to refresh the list of consoles.
