Continually Over-Moderated

I can not believe that the other one was deleted either. Constructive criticism must be unheard of. It is not like we are picketing

Wouldn't mind I wrote F followed by bomb and got moderated. Which now makes me appear to have used profanity. That is over velous moderation.

 

It is a really bummer to see the forums die down. I even to a hiatus from the forums for a couple months due to a lot of the negativity from a few of the creepers waiting for a negative thread.

I truly just want to talk Xbox One and its great line up of games. It can be hard when said creepers are waiting for the very moment a thread pops up that they can bash. And you know who you are

 

There is no mystery mod. You all know I am in here a lot. If you have a direct issue with the way the forum is run PMs are the best way to communicate. I promise I don't bite.

 

I beg to differ OP. These threads have not always been like this.

Back when these forums were young, and filled to overflowing with enthusiastic gamers, and the like. It was the norm to have free and open discussions on a whole range of subjects.

I think they need to reopen the Feedback section of the forum.

I know they want us to use the uservoice site for giving feedback to Microsoft, and that is perfectly fine, but sometimes we need to discuss an idea before making that final suggestion on there.

Fair enough they don't want the Xbox One board clogging up with forum discussion, but they need to give us a place for that.

 

Some can be uptight. Someone make Cloud mod again I feel he gets on well with the younger side of the community. I didn't even know there were private messaging I thought it meant messages over Xbox Live. Lei Fang sent me a few. I love her writing style
"Hello everyone" "have a nice day, afternoon or night". Xbox One is a good console.... there I said something to do with Xbox 1. I guess this thread can stay (?)

It wasn't even a heated discussion. Bowski I don't need to take it to PM you overreacted and culled a perfectly reasonable debate between two users that may (or may not) have led to something constructive, it shouldn't be about your personal opinion of
what's right and wrong it should be about whether or not specific forum rules were broken.

 

time to abandon these forums to pastures new, long live the good old days.

 

Just like to say rhat Bowski has communicated with me privately on this issue and while I still don't agree I respect the reasoning and the explanation, which was appreciated.

 

I don't claim to be a detective or anything, but it seemed that Cloud was a mod up until he started mingling a bit too much with us, which is apparently frowned upon.

Bowski, we don't bite either you know. Well, I take that back, we bite a lot. Never mind.

 

Don't know who Cloud is but the moderators do seem to be very cloak and dagger, hiding in the shadows. It wouldn't surprise me to find that they are told to act this way by the higher ups who are actual Microsoft employees.

The sad thing is that is completely the wrong way to go about it. The best communities are formed when everyone is a part of it and it isn't us and them.

At the moment there does seem to be that latter attitude on the forum.

I've taken a look at forums.xbox.com/.../3307.aspx and boy does there seem to be a lot less active moderators than there used to. Of those that are listed there I can count on one hand how many I've ever seen post.
