    Yep, you got it. In that instance, the update is replacing content, not adding to it. Though you can get updates which adds content also. It varies.

    Content Update

    Sweet. I'll look for this tomorrow. Will be nice to be notified when someone beats your score as opposed to the current only being told when they don't. I have to keep flipping back and forth from the Leaderboard to see any changes. I think scores on the
    Rivals board should be dated when posted, but I don't know when/if this might happen.

    It will, though you will probably need to log in and out of the game for it to happen if the game is already running. There will be an popup message the first time you start the game after the update from what the developer told me.

    Update is Live, at least on the US west coast. Some nice changes to the money system as it shows beforehand how much will be earned for beating a Rival round. Lots of new camera views after striking the ball and while the ball is in flight.

    Update content

    According to my own Xbox One, the last major system update was back on 27 April 2016. There has been successful, automatic update checks occurring every day, but, at the time of this posting, no new updates has come out since then.

    Updated but no content!

    You have to download the beach bum pack to have the beach bum DLC. Check the in game store for it. Its DLC not just an update.
