Content Restrictions

For years I have had unrestricted access to all of my games. Until tonight when i got on, my access to my R-rated games was restricted and suddenly, my content restrictions in the settings was pushed down to ‘15 and under’. Why would this just randomly
change up on me? I have thousands of hours clocked in on multiple R-rated games. How can I fix this?

Hey guys -

That sounds frustrating! Please follow the steps below:

Remove your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One Console
Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One until the console completely powers off
Re-add your Xbox Live profile to your console

Please let us know if that does not work so we can try to narrow down the issue even further!

Make your account the Home account set them each up with their own accounts. And link those accounts to your home account.

Emails will be sent when they buy stuff of their accounts etc.

But in settings go look around there I think there might be settings to be able to help you out with restrictions.

Not sure have not played around much on that type of settings. Hope it helps

I've had the exact same problem but for me it's that I'm 17 and not 14 as my xbox seems to suggest.

Are you sure it's an online safety and privacy issue? What game are you trying to play ? is it linked to your profile? keep in mind that once an age is made it's permanent. You can change it after the fact but the system won't recognize it. This is to
prevent kids from just changing there ages to bypass things.
