Content Restricted All of a Sudden

Hi there,

So earlier this evening I tried to boot up YouTube on my Xbox and was greeted with a screen that said "YouTube is rated above 's content restrictions". I have never seen this before and the same thing happens with Netflix and a few other apps
now. I can confirm from the parent that nothing has changed (content has always been unrestricted) and I used the YouTube app less than 5 hours ago, so I'm not sure what has changed.

Like I said above, some content on Xbox LIVE is regionally restricted. This is definitely one of those games that is regionally restricted.

 

I have also had this problem. Even on my parents account all content is unrestricted. I was playing black ops 3 the day b4 this happened then all of a sudden i can't. Glad to know i am not the only one.

 

Something similar happened to me today as well. I was playing Black Ops III and my son tried to join. We got the "Black OPs II is rated above his content restrictions" message, so I shut off he xbox and restarted. Now even my wife and I's administrator
accounts are restricted, we cannot get online, and its like I do not have a live account. Everything looks good on my live account when I use my laptop to check xbox live.

 

Try doing a hard reset performed EXACTLY this way. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

 

I tried doing what you said but it did not work unfortunately so does anyone have any other ideas

 

This has happened to me also. I was in the middle of watching a YouTube video and the console updated and restarted. Once I got back online my access to content was set to 'Appropriate up to age 14' even though these restrictions have never been set up and
I have no parent account. I can only access the age restricted games and apps after entering my password for my Microsoft account each time I open them. This is a massive inconvenience that needs to be resolved.

 

I tried going on the parent's account as well and it says unrestricted access. When i then go to my account on the laptop it says the same thing. But on the xbox one on my account it says 'appropriate up to age 14'. At the time i thought i got hacked...
This needs to be resolved ASAP because right now I can only play one game.

 

My account all of a sudden, does not allow me to access games such as Grand Theft Auto V, or Black Ops lll, because the content is to graphic.

 

i had a similar thing happen where i am playing warframe day before then the next my account says i have content restrictions and it was put to the age of 16 and my account has been unrestricted for a long while coud anybody help please

 

This has happened to me too its so annoying that its come out of the blue

 

Hey everyone -

Thanks for posting about the issue. If everyone could please try the following steps and let us know the results, that would be great.

• Remove your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One Console
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One until the console completely powers off
  
• Re-add your Xbox Live profile to your console

Again, please follow up and let us know if works (or doesn't) so we can look into the issue further.

It did not work for me either. Also, the content that is locked keeps changing each time we look at it.

 

Just to add; On the age restriction it says restriction for Australia...Idk if this is helps...
