    Hi everyone

    If someone would explain this term to a beginner that'd be much appreciated.

    I'm about to purchase the CoD WWII (disc edition) but there's a "warning" on the cover says "content download required".

    As a beginner i'd like to play single player mode not in on-line multiplayer -against experienced gamers- bc i'm pretty sure i'd be "dead" in 5 sec. This is why i'm not interested in xbox live subscription either. I just want to buy games on disc, put them in the console and play. My question is, if I bought a (disc) game with this warning do I have to have an xbox-live subscription to download the missing content and play, or is this content free to download? (I'd found quite unfair that being forced for subscription after i bought a game and paid the full price for it.)

    That's usually just game updates which don't cost anything and don't require any type of subscription.

    Licens Transfer.

    You still need to log into the original account to download the content

    Before the second account can use the content

    This does not apply to avatar or ingame items

    Downloading and purchasing content does not require Gold

    Only online gameplay or specials that require it

    Invoked - Gold is required for things like online play, but is not required to download content. Silver members can still access content from the marketplace.

    @norwood329 - Sorry this is not possible due to DRM. When you download content on your XBOX 360 or via XBOX.com (which is then downloaded on your XBOX 360) the content is registered to your gamertag and your console's serial number as well as console id.
    You would need to connect the console to an internet source in order to be able to download any of this DLC content. Note that some DLC content requires that you have an XBOX Live Gold account in order to use. This content will usually not let you download
    it until you have the required Gold Subscription.

    Besides the graphic difference, cangames labeled xbox1 enhanced, still play on the regular xbox 1 s

    It is only with the Xbox One X that the enhanced game makes any difference, when you install the game onto your console, the One X just downloads the extra content required for 4K graphics.

    The standard Xbox One and One S will not download the extra content as it is not required.
