Contact buttons not working.

The eject and the power button on my console aren't working. Is there any other way to eject the disk? My system doesn't have the manual eject orange sticker.

Buttons not working

Whenever I try and turn my xbox one on by waving my finger over the button, and my xbox wont turn on unless I press the button on the controller. Its also the same way with ejecting a disc. Also, I don't see a eject disk option in the Xbox one menu, and
now I have a disk stuck in there. Please assist me with this situation!

 

Power Button Not Working

I am having to replace my xbox one console, which is pretty poor considering it's just over a month old. Having said that, the person in support who I spoke to on live chat was extremely helpful

 

Is the console plugged directly into the wall and not a power strip? if so have you had a recent power outage or blip? and be advised if you do have a power outage your XB1 won't recognize the socket it is plugged into even if that socket does have power.
I have no idea why that happens, but it happens to me almost every time I have a power outage. Which can lead to the buttons on the console not responding. Also is the light on the Power Supply on and what color?

 

The console is plugged into a power strip, no recent power problems and the light is on and white.

 

Microsoft highly recommends that you plug the console directly into the wall and not a Power Strip. if that doesn't fix it i'd call 1-800 4myXBOX and ask for a cardboard coffin.
