constantly updates nightly

my xbox1...every night for the past week and a half at this time, there can't be that many updates surely...it gone past ridiculous.

In all the years of playing the Xbox One almost nightly ive only been kicked out of live because of an update 1 time.

 

Party Up?

When would these "nightly games" be?

 

i have the same prob, in fact i have had 2 updates in the last 15hrs! quit it Microsoft!!

 

Yep, same issue here. I've had enough, I'm leaving tye preview program

 

Are you part of the XBox Preview program? I have been looking at similar posts and most if not all involved we in that program. As frustrating as this sounds, at the very least you know the XBox Live team is actively working on something.

 

I've had the same issue , for the past 7 days I e had to download a 350 - 450mb update , and it's starting to become a bit tedious now , yes I am in the preview program, but as far as I can see there is nothing new or different when it's finished , has anybody
any ideas or even a straight answer as to why this is happening??

 

I agree, it is very annoying. There have been a number of threads addressing this. It's part of the preview program. Microsoft is completely aware of it and it's not an error. I've been in the preview program for the 360 and the Xbox One since the
beginning. It's part of what we signed up for, but the past couple of weeks have been one of the more frustrating times.

This is indeed not an error. As is the case with many betas and new dashboard releases. More and more pieces of content are being added as well as tweaks and other items based on user feedback. This is normal with a beta in many cases. If you'd like to learn
more about what's in each update, be sure to check the Preview Dashboard on the console for the change log as well as the Preview Program forums HERE.

If you would like to make the updates a little more seamless though. We'd recommend turning on Instant on mode on the console and allowing for automatic updates. Your console will then update in a low power state overnight and you'll be ready to go when
you boot up the console. You can learn more about how that works and how to turn it on
