Constantly losing pins. Hard resetting multiple times a day.

Step 1: Check If It’s a Windows PIN or Microsoft Account PIN

The PIN request might be from Windows Hello, not Minecraft/Xbox itself.

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options

Under PIN (Windows Hello), click Remove if possible

If it asks for a PIN you don’t know, select I forgot my PIN and follow the reset steps (you'll be prompted to verify with your Microsoft account)

If it still fails here, the PIN may have been set from another device, which leads us to the next step.

Step 2: Change Microsoft Account Password Immediately

Since you suspect the account was hacked:

Visit: https://account.microsoft.com/security

Change your password

Review Recent Activity and remove any unfamiliar devices

Set up Two-Step Verification if you haven’t already

Step 3: Remove PIN Requirement via Web Access

Sometimes, Xbox or Minecraft apps request device sign-ins tied to a PIN setup. Try this:

Open https://account.live.com/proofs/manage

Remove any trusted devices or authenticator methods you don’t recognize

Re-add your current device

Step 4: Reinstall Minecraft/Xbox App and Clear Credentials

If Minecraft is still asking for a PIN:

Press Windows + R, type: credwiz

Open Credential Manager > Windows Credentials

Remove any entries related to Xbox Live, Minecraft, or MicrosoftAccount

Reinstall Minecraft/Xbox App from the Microsoft Store

Been goong on for a few days restarted multiple times even did a hard reset.

The hard reset does NOT fix the problem for good. The "fix" lasts for a day or two and then the pins go away again. Xbox needs to investigate and create a permanent solution.

People need to stop portraying the hard reset as a "fix"....it's a band-aid at the most.

I've tried them nothing is working been trying for the last two days with no luck. Everything I do is not working I deleted game and reinstalled countless times. Even hard reset multiple times
