Constantly getting error codes to update port 3074

I get an error that says:

'External port start "3074" is invalid.'

that error code i believe is an NAT issue, when ports are restricted. everything on the xbox service uses different ports and xbox live uses the specific ports of 88 and 3074. also is there any error messages when you test the xbox live connection?

The only way to get rid of that error is to factory reset the home hub.

I just had to do it because I wanted to port forward ports 3074 and 3075.

I forgot to tell you the error i get is NAT error and it says my connection is set to strict and to enable upnp or open port 3074 i have it enabled and i have port 3074 forwarded too. it never said my connection was strict until i forwarded the ports so
idon t know what the problem can possibly be, my brother in law was working on this for hours as well.

There are a list of ports that you would need to have opened to install the update. The ports you need to ensure are opened are; TCP 80, UDP 88, UDP 3074, TCP 3074, UDP 53 and TCP 53.
