Constantly getting disconnected from Xbox Live?

I've been having this issue with my Xbox 360 for some time, but not my Xbox One or any other device in my home. I've even tried it plugged straight into the modem and its still suffering

Whenever I sign into Xbox Live, all will be well for a few minutes, but then it will disconnect me for no apparent reason, I then go on to test my Network etc and everything is completely fine!?

The main reason I use my 360 lately is just to watch Netflix in bed, so I'll put something on, but then it will disconnect. But Netflix continues to let me use it and run perfectly fine, so I'm still connected to the internet?

I've tried every possible solution and have not found a single one that is even remotely effective, so please, suggestions anyone?!

Xbox Connects to Network But Not the Internet

Same issue here.. When my xbox does connect to xbl i am constantly getting disconnected from live.

Well, if you already tried every possible solution, then I don't have any other solutions to give you. Only impossible solutions are left...

Okay joking aside:

If you say your One can connect without issue, your issue reads like a corrupt gamertag profile. Since you don't say what "possible solution" you already tried, this might already be a solution you tried. Even if you did some of these things already, please
follow the following instructions carefully, as there is a meaning behind the order of these things.

Go to the Settings hub on the far right. Go to the system tile and do a connection test to Xbox Live. This will sign out any profiles (we want this to happen, so don't skip this test).

After you made sure your console can connect to Xbox Live without errors, and that the service is up and running, continue.

Go to the Storage settings, and highlight any storage device on your console. Press the Y button. Choose to clear the system cache. Repeat that step three times.

Now go to all storage devices and go to the profiles folder.

Find your Gamertag profile there and if possible move it to an USB drive on your console. If you don't have an USB drive, delete the profile.

If you used an USB drive to back up your profile, turn the console off WAIT 30 SECONDS (as the console still writes to the drive after being turned off) and remove the USB drive.

Turn the console on and press the guide button. Choose "Download Profile" and enter your Gamertags Microsoft Account email and password.

Keep in mind: If your account is protected by Two Step Verification (check for that here), you will have to create an App Password on that page, and use THAT app password instead of your
normal one on the Xbox 360.

 

I recently (just before X-mas) switched over to Comcast business (Tier 10up/25down) and they set up this router DPC3939B and I've had random disconnects...very intermittent...could be 5 min. or could be 20 min. before disconnect from Xbox live.

I just had the Comcast technician come out and explained to him my issue and he seems to believe it's an issue between Xbox 360s and Microsoft (possibly update related). Technician checked the line connection (at wall and bldg.) and reports there are no
issues with line. All reports great.

I'm connected directly to the router just as the desktop. Have absolutely no issues with the desktop or any of my other devices (Xoom and cell phone) that are connected via wireless. WTF!

I've checked settings within router...nadda. I've power cycled Xbox and router...nadda. I've made sure ports are open, NAT off, Firewall off etc...Nadda.

I'm heavily leaning towards a recent Xbox 360 update that has possibly borked as is the technician.

 

It appears that when disconnected from Xbox live I still am connected to the internet on the Xbox. Why??? I was updating avatar and while making changes Xbox disconnected me from Xbox live but I was still able to change avatar and save it. After saving it
signed me back into my Xbox live account.

WTF!

I'm definitely leaning at an issue on Microsoft's end either server related or a recent update to the Xbox 360 itself.

 

Update:

Tried the following just now and hoping it will do the trick...

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (center "X" button on your controller).

Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

Select Storage.

On the storage device selection page, do the following button sequence:

LB RB X LB RB X

You will be prompted to remove the current update; select Yes.

Your console will restart and the download will start again.

Will post back if there is anything to add positive or negative result wise.

 

That was a no go. Still getting random Xbox live sign out/disconnect. Now going to try removal and reinsertion of HDD (500GB).
