    Constantly disconnecting from Xbox Live


    Hi there , I have been disconnecting from xbox live randomly for awhile now and its really annoying. I have tried everything from clearing the system cache to re downloading my profile but nothing seems to work. Id be greatly appreciative if someone can
    help me.

    Also I have tried both wireless and wired connections and the error still occurs and none of my other devices have internet problems.

    When you say you get disconnected, are you "simply" thrown out of a multiplayer game, or do you specifically get the Toast message (Toast being the pop up messages like when a friend goes online or you get an achievement) that says "Disconnected from Xbox
    Live"?

    Can you also check the following: On your PC open up a command prompt (on Windows press Windowskey + R, then enter "cmd" in the small window and press OK, on a Mac or Linux PC simply open up a Terminal window).

    In the command prompt, enter the following command:

    ping www.google.com -t

    (when using a Mac or Linux omit the "-t" option).

    You should get rows upon rows replies with numbers.

    Now go and play on your Xbox.

    As soon as you get disconnected look at the PC: Do the numbers on your screen significantly change or is the reply something completely different during the Live disconnection?

    Hey guys I think it fixed itself oddly enough because its been 48 hours with no random disconnections , if this error re occurs ill be sure to post but as it stands everything seems in good shape , thanks for the assistance anyways.

    Sometimes the ISP and even XBL may be having problems. It sounds like you just had a spotty connection through your ISP. Glad to see it all settled.

    Live has been diaconnected for 2 days in china.All of chinese !!!

    It is now the 27th in China and I am still having terrible issues with xbox live. I am constantly getting kicked from games and disconnected from live. As soon as I press 'A' to load a disc it disconnects from Live. I can sign back in sometimes but get kicked.

    It's so frustrating!!!!!

    Depending on your router, some users have experience issues running UPnP despite most guides suggesting to enable it for xbox live setup. In the past I had the same issue with disconnects. The problem went away once UPnP was disabled. I'm not saying
    it is a fix, but worth a try.

    Hey. Am not an ambassador or owt, just a keen gamer, but also a self employed techy. That error code I believe is a corrupt profile, try deleting all the profiles n either start again or recover it after its been deleted. See how that goes n perhaps let

    I too would like an explanation for this irritating phenomenon. I've experienced the same issue with the same error code since roughly the beginning of the month. Like the OP, I have also gone through the requisite troubleshooting and procedures purported
    to fix this issue to no avail. If something is hosing up XBox Live connectivity for all of us we'd like some answers please. I don't like getting bad reviews for "Quitting Early" when I can't keep a Live session running on a Fiber connection...
