    Constantly disconnected from XBL, Have to go to test connection to have it connect again.


    I've done everything with clearing the cache dealing with the profiles, my NAT type is open 100% of the time, my connection is fine on my computer and everything else it is just my xbox 360 that has issues with connecting. I've Portforwarded, changed my
    IP to static reset router multiple times, tried wired and wireless. Nothing seems to help. It will randomly say "sign in status changed" or just "disconnected from Xbox live" Is it my xbox or what is it? It's quite irritating.

    Same issue here.. When my xbox does connect to xbl i am constantly getting disconnected from live.

    Possible xbox slim fault? IMPORTANT

    To rule out the router as the cause connect your console directly to the modem. Play as you normally would and see if it happens again. When you are being disconnected from XBL are you disconnected from the entire internet on
    all your devices that use it? Also, what are your connection speeds? Go to speedtest.net and run three tests; one close to you, one far from you and one in between then post the results here (download, upload and ping).

    Random Disconnects from Xbox Live

    Same here =/ I Keep getting random disconnects from XBL. Then I go to test connection and it connects back up...So weird. Makes me paranoid lol

    Okay, possibly some progress...

    I've got my Xbox connected directly to the modem. A few seconds after starting a game of MW3 I got disconnected from XBL again. I ran the Network test immediately after the issue occurred like you said.

    I received an ICMP Error which basically said to power cycle my modem.

    • I power cycled my modem. Ran the Network test again, everything was fine (no errors). I sign into XBL, see what friends are online, and then get immediately disconnected from XBL again.
    • I then tried to connect to XBL right away and it connects fine.
    • Played one game, then when in the menus I was again disconnected from XBL.
    I went to the website the error message suggested www.xbox.com/icmp-help

    • From what I gathered reading this website, Xbox is basically pushing this issue to the ISP, saying it is their fault.
    • I don't know how this could be an ICMP error when the modem is connected to the router my computers work without any issues.

    Hey there! A few things first.

    Are you running wireless?

    Can you test the xbl connection? Settings>System>Network Settings>your connection with the check mark>Test Xbox Live Connection - Hit More info, and then above the instructions, say what error you're getting (IP Address Error, MTU, Live Connection Error)

    Does this happen when you are not connected to the internet, too? (The long loading time, not the disconnected from XBL, that's normal while not connected ;))

    What router do you have?

    Post back and let us know what is going on with that. It will help us figure out what is going on!
