    Constant Xbox live Disconnects making Xbox nearly unplayable


    So first things first I will give my answers to your general questions before going into the trends I have seen with my longstanding issue. Also, this is not the first I have tried to fix this problem, I have been through many troubleshooting pages
    on the web (including the one on this site) to no avail. Really hope you can help! Thanks!


    What Country/State/Province do you live in: United States/Virginia

    Modem brand & model number: Using a Gateway (two in one) Netgear Ac1900 C6300BD

    Router brand & model number: " "

    How many consoles do you have connected to this router: Just the one Xbox 360

    Wired or wireless (for each console): On wireless

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal adapter (Xbox 360 S/E): It is an external adapter it is grayish, neither black nor white, but I have tried both wired and wireless connection and the problem ensues unchanged
    and unabated.


    Things you have tried: Wired connection, Port-forwarding, Reset Gateway to default settings, DMZ, clear xbox cache, use old router that did not trigger this problem.

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: Nope

    Is UPnP Enabled?: Yep

    Any Error Codes you encounter: Usually none, just a general "disconnected for live" notification at the bottom-middle of the screen. But I will sometimes get a "Your console can't connect to Xbox Live. Do you want to exit this session and test your
    network connection? If you are playing a game, you will lose any unsaved progress. error code: 801590E" when trying to reconnect after being
    disconnected. This basically makes me go test my connection, and have the test clear with no problems
    (and it always does) before I can reconnect.


    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: Cox

    After you run "Test Xbox Live connection", press “A” for "More Info”, and then "Y" for "Status". In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)

    W: 0000 - 0021

    X: 0400 - F001

    Y: 20A8 - 4840

    Z: 0000 - 0000

    ID: FFFF- FFFF

    L: 8015 - 1000

    Q: 8007 - 0435

    T: Wireless

    D: 68.105.28.11, 68.105.29.11

    S: WPA2

    C: 1

    Along with these questions I will list some of the other stats under the network statistics section just in case those are needed as well.

    Latency: 109ms (considerably higher than my computer which is a 5-10ms)

    Packet loss: 0%

    Upload speed: 7.63 Mbps

    Download speed: 7.15 Mbps

    (both lower than my computer which is at 10.83 Mbps Upload and about 60 Mbps Download)

    Signal strength: 100%

    Wi-Fi speed: 117 Mbps



    Now as to what I have seen: this problem started almost at the exact same time as we got a new modem/router gateway. Therefore I am assuming it has something to do with my new configuration but I am unsure of what (after many weeks of looking up
    potential problems to no avail). This is not to say though that I didn't have issues before I got the Gateway, I had errors galore but, just different more game (destiny) specific errors due to my modem being REALLY outdated and unable to uphold the download
    speed required to play the game in its most multiplayer aspects. Anyways backstory aside, I got the new Gateway and the old problem vanished, only to be replaced with this new problem of constant Xbox live disconnects which was not an issue before. This time
    though I did not just experience the issue in Destiny alone, (though the majority of my struggles are through it because that is about all I play) any other game that requires Xbox Live does has problems as well. I see the problem occur mostly during the afternoon
    and evening and it will start to tail off by 10:00ish, though it never completely vanishes. Oddly enough this is the exact opposite trend of the problem I had had before in which it would be better during the afternoon and start to ramp up into unplayability
    during the late hours. Well that is about it as far as context goes, hope this helps give you enough detail to try and help me out. Thanks for your time and effort!

    That's a problem the community created, so I have no sympathy. Shouldn't have resorted to doing it instead of just getting better and dealing with the connection.

    Yes i think i have discovered what the problem is.Thanks to my isp provider they have doubled my connection speed which means i now HOST a lot more i figure this is why im getting just hit markers and flipbook gameplay.I only found out when i ragequitted
    a few times and the screen said looking for a new host b4 putting me in the lobby.

    Yes I agree lately I have noticed the same thing. I am not sure what the issue is. I think the biggest issue is people turning down their upload speed to gain the advantage. Wish they would set that so you cant join if too
    low.

    Don't think its too bad.. Out of like 10 games I've played yesterday, lagged in like 2 of them. Rest of them were just fine.
