Discus and support Constant Strict NAT type in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I've fixed many a connection in the past with UPnP or port forwarding, but at my apartment here in Florida, I haven't been able to connect with an open...     Constant Strict NAT type


    I've fixed many a connection in the past with UPnP or port forwarding, but at my apartment here in Florida, I haven't been able to connect with an open NAT type, it's always strict. I've even tried DMZ, and that has done nothing. Port forwarding does nothing.
    UPnP doesn't even see the Xbox. I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. It's a struggle because my friend has a moderate connection and we can't play together.

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?: USA, Orlando, FL

    Modem brand & model number: Zhone 1512-A1-NA (was provided by Disney housing)

    Router brand & model number: Netgear WNR1000v3

    How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?: Just my Xbox One

    Wired or wireless (for each console): Wireless or wired

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes and no. I disabled it to try other solutions but I can re-enable it.

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: It's strict

    Any Error Codes you encounter: None, just a strict NAT

    Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Disney housing provides my internet, but I had to supply my own router and to my knowledge they don't block anything.

    Xbox One NAT type: Strict.... Help

    If it's still strict after you open the proper ports, try resetting your modem and router, then hard reset your console.

    This site will help you open the right ports
    Open Port

    Just select your router and follow the instructions. Do not download anything from the site, it's not necessary. It's a safe site, but port forwarding manually is very easy.

    Okay, it may be down to your NAT Type being strict or moderate. Have a look at the

    Nat Type Strict (Or Moderate)     to find out if you have a strict or moderate NAT Type, and how to resolve it.
