    Constant redownloading of non-installed updates

    Prerequisite information:

OS 6.2.11797.0 (xb_rel_1411.141124-1759)fre Last Update: Successful

Participant in Xbox One Preview Dashboard

Day One Edition/ External 4.0TB USB3.0 Wesern Digital HDD

A few weeks ago (shortly before Thanksgiving) I received an email about my console potentially not being able to accept updates. This was followed up by an email. This was also followed up with an ad on my dashboard informing me of a problem. Due to a ridiculously
busy work schedule, I could not reply in time for my warranty. When I did call in, this issue was dismissed. I would like to know if others are having this problem and if it's as much an issue for any of you. Here it goes:

I place all of my disc based games installs onto my HDD. This is primarily because I own a ridiculous quantity of games and the 500GB HDD is ridiculously small (and non-replaceable; suggest future iterations let me replace it myself MS... seriously.. competitors
do.) I digress. Anyboots, I noticed that games will say they are updating, and then they say, "Installation Stopped." While this is annoying (MS, just patch the game man regardless of if I show you my license) I expect it at this point. I noticed however that
these very same games (which I am not putting the discs in my tray to update all the time) will sometimes need ANOTHER update. Checking forums and those titles, I'm finding that these games aren't updating that frequently at all in many cases. It appears these
"Updates" are redownloading the same content non-stop.

Now while at first I thought this sounded ridiculous and could not be the case, here are some of my bandwidth usage numbers for the past few months...

Nov - Dec 619GB; Oct - Nov 556GB; Sep - Oct 507GB; and then a remarkable drop before some of my other updates... Aug - Sept 96GB; July - Aug 59MB.

Now while it is clear I didn't play as often, that usage is pretty severe for a single console. While I do play every day and watch netflix, my behavior has not INCREASED. I would argue that due to work, I have actually had less time to play than ever.

I am wondering, is anyone else having this result of installs constantly re-downloading? It is completely possible it is a false observation on my part, but it certainly seems this is not the case. Consider, if you will, my Xbox One is using more data than
my cap on my provider at the moment! Even if I streamed all day long (which I do not) this somehow seems wrong. I also do not have too many games which require 30GB updates every month.

Anyone have this issue? Anyone know of a solution? Is MS listening? Help? Thank you. -Adam

    :)

    XBOX ONE problem post update

Odd as i'm not aware of any updates for non preview members recently.

Try deleting & redownloading the app or game.

  3. AC Brotherhod DLC wont play

Tried redownloading DLC? If that doesn't work if you have the game installed delete the game then see if the update works.
