Constant LAN problems - Seriously annoying. What is it, 1992?

I own 3 XBones. Two are connected to my router via Wireless. One is connected via Wired. Profiles involved have XBL Gold.

And no matter the combination, we're CONSTANTLY having issues every day trying to join LAN games. Doesn't matter if we join via Invite or attempt to join ourselves via friends lists, it doesn't work. I'd use the in game "join list" but that's an absolute
joke and never populates with games.

The wired xbox is in the DMZ which has, in the past, helped fix Xbox issues, but not this time. Infact, despite being in the DMZ the XB still has "moderate" NAT type. I can also only put 1 XB in the DMZ.

Can *anyone* provide any useful information to alleviate this problem? It's seemingly random, but about 70 to 80% of the time any attempt to join a game on our LAN fails, and it's REALLY ANNOYING.

What they really need to fix is the annoying lag, the constant problems joining as a clan, and the ever annoying connection issues to their servers.

 

Consoles freezes when starting games.

People over at Xbox.com forums seem to say that it's an issue with the ads on the dashboard. I just retried and still having the same problem. It's no problem if I stay offline but I want to get on Live. Having to unplug/replug the LAN cable every time is annoying.

 

Are you using a router that supports "multiple consoles " ? if not , then that's the problem ...

 

Provide the information below about your internal network environment. As Bimnog says it could be as simple as the router that is being used. A good gaming router that handles UPnP well will be required for multiple consoles. If you are using a ISP supplied
gateway then chances are that you will never get your configuration to work.

I'm in the UK, not the US.

I'm using a BT Home Hub 5.

3 Xbox Ones, no 360s. 2 are wireless, 1 is wired.

uPNP is enabled.

NAT type is moderate

No error codes.

ISP is BT. Package is BT Infinity 2 if that helps. (Speed isn't an issue. I average about 60 meg down, 20 meg up, <30ms ping)

Any ideas? Someone on Minecfratforums has suggested port forwarding, btu I don't know how that'll work with 3 XB ones.

 

Oh sorry, one more thing; the router and whole set up works fine when NOT playing LAN games. Playing over normal multiplayer gives no issues. Diablo 3 is unaffected too. Seems specifically to be Minecraft.

 

I cant find much on that router ...I did find this , maybe it will help...others have said to disable this feature ...
