    Constant Lag spikes


    Sometime around last February I started getting constant lag spikes about every 5 minutes across multiple games. I jitter and rubberband for about an 10 seconds.

    I have Comcast Internet about 75dl/15up

    I am using a new cisco gateway provided by comcast.

    I am on a WIRED connection DIRECTLY to the modem/gateway

    I have a OPEN NAT

    Speed test are all good

    2% packet loss

    THINGS I HAVE TIRED

    Constant router restarts/ factory resets

    New modem from Comcast

    Wireless

    Reinstalled games

    Xbox one in dmz

    The only thing left I can even think of trying is a new patch cable. Comcast customer support is God awful, hoping you guys can help

    @Bird lol, we are getting there!

    BT FTTC is being rolled out across the country and will be complete next year, from Spring you can buy FTTP (in FTTC areas) and have 330Mbps down.

    Unfortunately the Virgin cable network (different network to BT's) is oversubscribed in areas so whilst they have great headline speeds it can be terrible for gaming as the OP is finding out.

    Here's what I get to the same server as the OP on BT FTTC

    You need to contact your ISP.

    Maybe they're doing maintenance in your area.

    When I clicked Y after running an xbox live connection test,

    I just downloaded 300 kb in 30 seconds.... if that says anything, but not sure on bandwidth size...

    Also ran a xbox live connection test and this came up...

    W: 0000 - 000B

    X: 0000 -F001

    Y: 20A8 - 4840

    Z: 0000 -0000

    ID: FFFF - FFFF

    L: 0015 - 10F0

    Q: 0015 - 10F1

    Good old Virgin media and their highly congested network (in some areas) yes its an ISP issue, but mention Xbox live and they'll switch off, just give them your pingtest results and tell them Skype isn't working properly and youtube is buffering etc, you
    can also complain on their own forums

    For the record I've NEVER seen a result like your second ping test you'd get a better result from a Satellite connection and that is 22,000 miles above the Earth!

    its certainly not an Xbox issue, if they won't help look at switching to an FTTC provider
