Constant lag every 15 seconds

Afternoon,

I've finally bothered to set up my Xbox for online at university. I have to bridge a VPN connection through a laptop to be able to connect to Xbox Live. I can connect to Xbox Live and join games, but every 15 seconds or so, it will lag really badly for 2-3
seconds. I'll drop to a one bar connection and it'll drop to only a few frames per seconds, and after 3 or so seconds it'll be fine for another 15 seconds. This makes playing impossible. I have to use a wireless connection as I couldn't get the wired connection
to work, and I only got the wireless adapter yesterday. This internet is good enough that I have managed to pull host whereas I've never managed to do that before, and when not host I've got a perfect connection.. except for the unbelievably irritating lag
every 15 seconds or so.

xbox one lag.

I can't play any games at all. CoD Ghosts lags constantly like every 15 seconds, and I can't play Battlefield 4 either because it lags so bad. But before Christmas I could play Battlefield 4 with absolutely no lag. I hope Microsoft fixes this soon...

 

Disconnect from xbox live every hour. HELP!!!

Was there any troubleshooting you've done that are offered on the support pages?

What happens when you test your connection? Have you also tried testing your connectivity speed?

You could also try Clearing System Cache on your Xbox 360 Console, if you don't know how to then you can click on the link

support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
