    Constant high pitched noise


    I recently bought my Xbox One used, after a while I noticed that it emits a constant highpitched noise as long as it is turned on. Game sounds usually mask this noise, but it still gets pretty annoying after a while. Especially since I seem to be more sensitive
    to such high pitched noises than other people.

    Because I thought this was a defect and my console still had warranty, I sent it in for repairs. I just got it back today but the noise is still audible. Could this noise be normal? I sadly don't know anyone else who owns an Xbox One to compare it with.

    Xbox One February Update - TV Speakers now emit an audible high-pitched whine/static sound

    I'm experiencing this same thing. At first it only occurred in game when a high pitched noise went off and then it would continue screeching long after the match was over. Now there's just a constant high pitched sound that my tv is sending off when I turn
    on the Xbox One. This only started happening after the update for me as well. I've done all those same things and it's still persisting.

    This weekend I finally was able to spend some time with my new XBox One. One thing I noticed is a sporadic high pitched whine. The solution I found was going back to home. From what I've found this is a known issue and has been resolved by a patch. Since
    my system was purchased on October 17th, powered up, and patched that weekend, I'm wondering why the patch might not have been applied. Or if this is a new issue?

    Constant high pitched noise

    That is not normal. When the One is running you should really hear very little. Maybe a fan running but, IMO, you should definitely not hear the high pitched noise that you are referring to.

    I just started hearing this high pitch noise when my console is in standby. I found this forum post of people having this issue a while ago and it seemed to be fixed with an update. Since I hadn't noticed this noise before, it's possible it may have started
    happening after an update, but I'n not sure.

    It's a constant noise not one that has breaks in it. A low pitched buzzing sound. Only goes away when a game is loaded.
