    Constant errors and sadly disappointe


    After having my xbox one for a year now, I have come to the conclusion that it is poop and their servers are awful and as far as customer service, I might aswell be talking to a brick wall. Microsoft quite happy taking my 40 pound for a year membership.
    But when it comes to compo for their awful service then it is out of their hands. Wish I never got rid of my 360. Hearing that psn is pretty good these days.

    Oh and takes me over 24 hrs to download certain games after pre ordering them to get them early It would of worked out quicker and cheaper to buy and play games

    How is it there fault its taken so long to download games ? Surely thats down to you internet provider. Also why don't you trade it in a get a ps4 while the consoles worth something, having a rant on here saying your go to playstation isn't going to achieve
    anything, another thing is I reccomend shopping around for you subscription because you can get it for around 25 - 30 quid these days,

    Have you been able to download bo3 beta, oh let me guess , it ain't microsofts fault , it's down to treyarch, don't give me my connection bull cus I run diag's on it.

    Who pays £40 per year for live?

    Maybe you should read the ToU you agreed to when you started your account,especially the part about Microsoft are under no obligation to compensate you if there's an issue with live.

    I've pre ordered many games on the xbox one & none of them have taken more than an hour to download so it does sound like it could be an issue at your end.

    I know several people who have downloaded the BO3 beta without an issue although there have been problems for other people due to the amount trying to download it at the same time,Treyarch didn't bother telling Microsoft how many beta keys had been sent
    out.

    So when advanced warfare was release on midnight release from my local retailer and tried to install FROM DISC it took 24 hrs plus smart guy.how much does it offer you to renew your yearly sub through store by the way. As for Bo3 beta why did I have to change
    my location to Brazil to enable the download. Microsoft being the multi billion dollar company should have competent staff who would know how big the launch was going to be. And as they keep on saying, "we are working with our partners to fix this matter."

    Try taking a look in your nearest dictionary to find out what partner means in their terms. Maybe this might help clear up the issue of who's responsible

    No where did you say it took 24 hours to install from a disc smart guy.

    Simple solution,install the disc while offline as downloading updates while installing a disc can cause issues sometimes.

    I'm not dumb enough to buy my live from the store,i use cdkeys & pay about £23 for a years sub.

    You think I didn't do this.unfortunately I work so don't have time to search for deals like that.even so the cost doesn't mean crap. You pay for a service then you expect to get some sort of customer service. But then like you say you pay cheap so maybe
    you happy with a crap service. Also for the 17 pound difference that we pay, you have probably paid over the odds because like you said you have ordered many games from store therefore paying approximately 5 to 10 pounds more on a game then myself. Times that
    by however many games you have bought. There you go genius

    Microsoft did warn ( not just on Twitter ) gamers that switching regions could cause you problems in the long, not the best of ideas.

    As for the Black Ops 3 Beta. Not tried it myself on Xbox but I believe it's fixed now. But yesterday both Microsoft and the games developers said they knew of problems, people redeeming codes, slow downloading etc. These things happen.

    Like others have said in this thread, you should shop around for Xbox LIVE Membership. Only yesterday Gamer Bargains Tweeted an offer, 12+1 month Xbox LIVE for £21.99. Offer was only for 24 hours but these/similar offers always appear.

    24 hours to download a game, sure that would be a pain in the backside but what speeds do you have? If you have decent speeds then I'd contact your broadband provider and see if there's an issue. If ok there contact Xbox Support. If you have slow speeds
    then again as others have said here. Install the game from disc offline, then connect to do any updates, this does speed the process up.

    Maybe I'm lucky but I download all of my games now and none have ever taken more than around 45 minutes to download. If I was experiencing the times you are saying, I'd definitely be making some phone calls as it sounds like there's a problem somewhere.

    Since downloading had no problems on beta but if you do check the status page you will see that once again they are having same problems, sorry buddy but microsoft ain't all they claim to be

    I never said Microsoft as you put it, are what they claim to be.

    I game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, I now and again get issues with all of them. There's no company out there that offers all of the time 100% smooth service, things happen. Thankfully from my own experience it is rare but it does happen.

    As you are saying games take 24 hours to download it would be handy to know what your broadband speeds are though? Are you connected wired or wireless? If you have slower than average speeds, trying installing your games offline, then connect to do the updates.
    This does speed up the process. If you have good/fast speeds then it definitely sounds like there's a problem somewhere so it would be worth phoning your broadband provider to get them to run some checks to rule out problems your end. If ok, contact Xbox Support
    to see what they say.

    Sure I've had the odd hiccup with Xbox LIVE but never had issues with games taking anywhere near this long. Around 45 mins for full digital downloads.

    Again, for Xbox LIVE Gold Membership, shop around, you can get some very good deals.
