    Hi, every time I dashboard to change a game I disconnect from Xbox live, or sometimes I turn on the Xbox and it disconnected already and I have to preform a 30 second reset to both router and modem.

    I tried deleting my profile, moving it to a compatible USB drive, clearing the console's cache 3 times, restoring network settings, deleting system update and the problem still occurs.

    My router and modem are on the compatibility list on the xbox.com website. I have SBG900 modem and a Belkin F9K1102 v1 router. They're all up-to-date.

    The Belkin router has an option "Use as an Access Point." When I turned it on and set an IP and disabled the DHCP Server the router wouldn't connect and the internet stopped working. I had to factory reset the router and reconfigure it. I followed this site www.belkin.com/.../support-article

    When you're playing, is someone else using the internet at the same time? If so, that might be the problem. If that is indeed the problem, play when they're not on the internet or ask them to get off.

    For over 2 weeks I have random disconnects while in the middle of a game. I have attempted all the usual troubleshooting suggestions and spoke with a XBOX TEch online yesterday the tech even waited while i played for 30 mins with no disconnects.
    I have made no changes to my setup since Uverse was installed 2 years ago. My Xbox is the older white with a 20 gb attached memory currently 3.3 Gb free


    I have an open NAT and Pnp.ATT has checked my internet connection and stated it is all correct.

    Any help would be appreciated I am seriously considering canceling my subscription. I am frustrated and a really lousy player too. So not much incentive to keep playing online if I am constantly disconnected. It's hard enough to try to keep up
    with these young kids.

    Hey there, I've seen this issue a lot over the past 6 months and generally the steps you've listed are the perfect fix for it.

    What makes me think that something is going wrong in that process is, you've said something about moving your gamertag to a USB, are you then 're-downloading' the profile from the USB? I'm curious because I think that might be the issue.

    Have you delete the profile from the console using the profile only option, without transferring your profile to the usb, then clearing the cache 3 times, restarting the console and re-downloading your profile from the Xbox Live servers instead of the USB?

  5. I deleted my profile and cleared the cache 3 times. I also tried downloading my profile into the USB and still disconnect. My profile didn't exists in two places.

    my xbox does the same thing, like i have my profile but when i get on i disconnect and when i try to play a game i disconnect and i have done all that too. i mean maybe its just my xbox

    @Metaphorically - Do not start multiple threads, regarding the same issue:

    I still recommend that you get in contact with your ISP. Have them know about your situation (multiple levels of NAT) and ask for the possibility to bridge your gateway. Alternatively, if your ISP can exchange your current gateway with a standard modem,
    so that only one networking device segments your network from your ISP and to the Internet-at-large.

    Yes i am always unable to reconnect to Xbox Live unless i restart my console, even if the network test says everything is fine. I run the network connection test, it says there are no problems connecting to Xbox Live, so i press the home button, select Connect
    to Xbox Live at which point it cannot establish a connection and asks me to run the network test again. Only if I restart my console can I reconnect.
