Constant disconnection from Xbox Live Multiplayer

I've only had my Xbox for about 4 weeks now and in that entire time I've been unable to play any game online.

My NAT is Open and 'behind a cone' whatever that means.

Playing Evolve and Cod: AW I can get into a match and run about for maybe 2 or 3 minutes but as soon as the action starts all characters on screen freeze then after another minute I get kicked with a 'You have been disconnected from Xbox live' message or
'Xbox live is required to play' etc.

Everything else works, Netflix, IE, sending messages to friends and mic chats. I've opened up all necessary ports, hard rest the Xbox, power cycled it, this is not a problem on my end this is an Xbox live issue and it's getting beyond ridiculous now.

My upload and download speed are excellent, I have Virgin broadband here in the UK and I've never had any problems playing online on my 360 or PC.

hmm lets see uhh did you try turning off your modem on your connection b/c sometimes when the connection gets interupted you could lose connection and all that so turn your wirless box of for like 30sec and turn it back on so it could refresh the connection
and try that sometimes that works for me and if you try it and nothing works then try and rebooting the whole system then

Well, what exactly is happening? I see from your title that you are getting disconnected but that's a fraction of what we need to know. If you could read the sticky post here:

forums.xbox.com/.../9.aspx and answer the bold questions at the bottom we could do more to help out.

Also to point out briefly, just about every thread here gets fixed by adjusting the customer end networking settings or configuration, which the users on these forums are more than happy to try and help you do.

 

Constantly unconnecting in destiny and Internet works fine ! I'm gessing that it's Xbox live that keeps going down ! And now I can't connect to live at all ! What's up with that ?

Can you try the following ?

1. Press the Home button
2. Press the Menu button (right from the home button),and select
   Settings
3. Click on Disc & Blu-ray and select
   Persistent storage
4. Clear this 3
   times
   
   (3 is the magic number)
5. Return to Settings and select Network
6. Select Advanced settings and go to Alternate
   MAC address
7. Hit clear and it will prompt you to restart your Xbox
8. Select restart

Could you create a new post regarding your issue, it's easier to focus on your issue then instead of having multiple troubleshoots intertwining

Ok so it worked for a while but its happening again. I really don't want to have to do this every time I want to play, I need a permanent fix.

Is your console connected directly to a poweroutlet or is there a surge protector or extension cord in between ?

If so could you try connecting it directly ? The Xbox One has a built in surge protector in the powerbrick and any other connections might cause it to not get enough power which might be the cause of the issues

You can also put your console on energy saving mode. Some people have reported that this fixes some issues. You can't use the Xbox On kinect command when in energy saving mode though.

Could you give those things a try ?

 

Yeah my console is plugged into an extension cord, I'll plug it directly into the wall socket as soon as I finish work. I have it set on energy saving mode, don't have a kinect so won't have any issues there. Thanks again.

 

Nope, this doesn't work either. I'm starting to get *** off now I pay for gold every month and I can't use it!
