    Constant Disconnecting from games and party


    My wifi is fine, i have an open nat type, around 50 MBps Download speed, and around 12 MBps Upload speed, with almost no latency. I can watch twitch or youtube or netflix perfectly fine all the time. But, for some reason whenever i play R6 Siege or Rocket
    league i get disconnected from the game many, many times as well as disconnecting from party chat to where it even says my network settings are blocking party chat or something like that. Every time that **** happens i check my connection and everything is
    fine. I dont know what to do. PLEASE HELP. I recently got a second xbox, the One S, for the bedroom (original Xbox one in the living room) and thats when it started happening but the other xbox is never on when im playing and getting disconnected.

    Hey Wes, sorry to hear about the disconnections! Okay, there are a couple things to try off the bat here. First, I recommend resetting your network hardware. You can reset your modem and router by unplugging power to both for about 15 seconds. When restoring
    power, plug the modem in first, and then wait for all of the lights on the modem to come up. When those are all active, plug in the router. Once those lights are flashing normally, go ahead and run a LIVE connection test on the console. Can you please give
    that a try, and then let us know how it turns out? Constant Disconnecting from games and party :)

    Constant Disconnecting From Games

    I can't play any game online for five minutes without getting disconnected. I connect fine to xbox live its just during the game like CODMW3 where it will say server disconnected with no lag what so ever during the game or while Im playing NBA 2k12 i cant
    even finish the first quarter without it disconnecting. This has never happened until today. My internet provider is Att&t U-Verse 2-Wire Open Nat. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

    Hey there,

    Have you tried a wired connection to your Xbox One console? Additionally, do you happen to have the brand name on the gateway ATT provided? I'm unfortunately not seeing much on that specific model number, however I did come across

    this ATT support forum post     that may have some useful information (a community member there posted a solution for a device very similar to that model number you provided).

    If the issue persists after trying that, along with a wired connection, that router may not be able to support Xbox Live multiplayer gaming with an open NAT.

    I actually made a mistake with the model #; it's 5268AC FXN. I'm unable to get a direct correction from the router to my Xbox currently. I also used that guide previously and it allows me to get my Xbox One through the firewall. However, this didn't change
    my NAT to Open, but it did open the listed ports correctly so I'm not sure why it didn't open it after allowing it through. It wasn't until I put my Firewall specifically into DMZ mode for my Xbox that the NAT changed to open.

    Worst case I'll just purchase a very long cable to connect the two devices.

    Hey there Pink!

    When you manually open ports (Port Forwarding, Virutal Server) make sure you disable UPnP otherwise UPnP will overwrite your static ports forward.

    Which encryption method are you using, WEP/WPA/WPA2?

    There are a couple of things you could try to see if you can get a more stable connection.

    Wireless Channel: Try changing the wireless channel manually to 11.

    Check for obstructions: Try moving the modem/router closer to your console. Make sure there are no other wireless capable devices that is close by to your Xbox or modem/router like cordless phones. If you have a wireless headset with a digital
    RF transmitter, move this as far away from your console as possible. If you are using your Iphone, smartphone etc. connecting to your wireless home network, disconnect them from your wireless netowork.

    More tip's for troubleshoot and improving wireless.
