Constant disconnecting and reconnecting from Xbox Live

So, my Xbox keeps disconnecting and reconnecting from Xbox Live every 20 seconds and so, and I don't know how to fix it. The problem began this past Tuesday and I have not found a way to fix it. The steps I took was that I have reset my routers multiple
times (The problem started when I was still at my apartment and now I'm at my family's house but still facing the same issue), hard rebooting my Xbox and finally, disconnecting the external hard drive from my Xbox, disconnecting it from the wireless, putting
it on "offline" mode, and held down the power button for 10 seconds to reset it. But none of that fixed it. When I go into the network settings, it says that my Nat is open and shows that I'm "connected" to the wireless, but not connected to Xbox Live. I don't
want to factory reset my Xbox, but I feel as though that's my only option left at this point. Does anyone have any more possible solutions?

My xbox keep on disconnecting from my internet, then reconnecting and then disconnecting all while being lan line connected. What is going on?

Have you tried disconnecting your xbox from power for 30 seconds, then reconnecting it? Factory reset?

 

Same here. You are not alone. How can it be that Microsoft cannot get a standarized hardware connecting to the internet? It uses the Windows 10 kernel, doesn't it?

 

Factory resetting doesn't fix a thing. Also DO NOT remove your user if support asks you to do so, you'll spend the next hour or so playing red-light, green-light with your Xbox trying to put in your information while it periodically connects and disconnects.

Great job Microsoft as usual.

 

I am just curious as to what type modem /routers you 3 are using , this latest update seems to have messed up connections mostly for people that use "do all " routers like gateways from their isp , not sure why...

 

It's a do all router (found this info after I made the previous comment) but my house has multiple extending routers to boost the Wifi Signal.

 

extending routers may be a problem , I would first try it wired to see if its a wifi problem or not ...

 

Nope, its still disconnecting and reconnecting with the Ethernet as well

 

Well , your going to have to travel down the " give the Xbox one a static ip , port forward , dmz " road , or go get a modem only and a gaming router (netgear imo )

 

get the model number of your arris if you want to go that route...

 

also , I just reread you original post and you said it acted the same way when you took it to your familys house ? did you take your router with you or used theirs?

 

I'm using their router. Looks like I'm going to have to travel down the static IP route. The model number is TG1672G

The following ports need to be forwarded for Xbox Live services:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP och TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Go to Firewall settings and make sure the option, DoS Attack Protection is unticked (disabled).

Don't forget to save your configuration and reboot the gateway afterwards

 

I manually entered the mac and IP addresses of the Xbox and now I have a stable connection. Thank you so much for your help!
