Constant connection issues

Alright, so I posted here a week ago concerning my elite series 2 controller disconnecting constantly since I purchased and connected a new set of TurtleBeach Stealth Pros.

Since then, that issue has somehow resolved itself after I messed around with a few plugging and unplugging around my console and moving some things around (Figured it was maybe something to do with the connection being interrupted). Now, I’ve got issues of constantly lagging in any online multiplayer game that I’m playing, and I know that my internet connection has been fine for the last 2 years of where my console has been setup. Its irritating to the point where I’m unable to actually play, and even my friends in Xbox party chat complain how much my voice is cracking up and they can’t hear a full sentence I say, so I don’t even bother to continue playing.

Thinking that the wireless headset might be the issue, I turned it off (did not fully disconnect from the Xbox) and opted to use my wired headset, but the lag still persists and those same friends are saying that my voice chat barely improved.

Is there another connection interrupting happening somewhere that I’m not picking up? Hard resetting my Xbox has not worked, or changing WiFi networks.

Need tips on how to resolve, thanks.

There are a few possible causes for this kind of interference, such as other wireless devices in your vicinity, physical obstacles or distance between your console and your router, or network congestion.

To narrow down the source of the issue, I suggest you try the following steps:

Check Controller Firmware and Connectivity:

Ensure that your Elite Series 2 controller has the latest firmware. You can update it through the Xbox Accessories app on your console.
- Verify that the controller is properly connected to your Xbox. Try using a different USB cable or port to rule out any issues.

2. Check Network and Latency:

Run a network speed test on your Xbox to ensure your internet connection is stable.
If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for better stability.
Check for any network congestion or interference (other devices using bandwidth, etc.).

3. Test Voice Chat Separately:

To isolate the issue, try using party chat without playing a game. See if the voice quality improves.
If it does, the problem might be related to the game’s servers or network latency.

4. Check NAT Type:

Make sure your NAT type is set to Open. A strict or moderate NAT type can cause connectivity issues.
Go to Settings > Network > Network settings > Test NAT type to check and adjust if needed.

get an actiontec router and make sure you get it wireless it an get you 10-20 mbps faster per sec and try to upgrade to fios its really fast i play stuff online and i use the internet and watch videos at the simultaneously and i play 360 all day with no
lag or host migration if u do you will always be host

changing the router settings often times can drastically improve connection if you do it properly.

i have fios actiontec router and these settings work really well
