Console won't update.

Discus and support Console won't update. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; For some odd reason my console won't update.     Console won't update.


    For some odd reason my console won't update. I have tried via wireless internet connection, wired through ethernet and finally with the update on a usb stick. Each time it fails with only a few percent left to install and produces this code: 416B - 417F
    - 1380 - 267F - C000 - 0185.

    Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this?

    Hey Bay Demon! If you are unable to update via the network or USB, unfortunately you will either need to have the consoles

    serviced     or replaced. Thanks!

    I am unable to try the CD option, because I don't have a computer that has a disk drive on it.

    Lots of folks having similar issues right now.

    Try the offline update and other techniques mentioned.

    The recent Sept update seems to be producing issues for lots of Xbox 360 4GB users. A lot of unhappy folks including me.

    I have probably spent around 30 hours spread over different days trying to resolve this now. The console will not update regardless of method used.

    I have totally lost faith in anything connected to Microsoft anyway, everything they do is a shambles. They aren't motivated by customer satisfaction, just want their cash.

    The error code has now changed to: 416B-0000-0080-0300-045D

    Console won't update.

    Ok, I have not being able to use this console for 6 months now so I'm considering returning it for a full refund. In the UK it is illegal to sell goods that are not fit for purpose and this console is obviously not fit for purpose. It is only 11 months old
    and should not be having problems like this!

    It's nice to see that no official Microsoft representatives bother to comment or help any of their customers. I will never be buying another Microsoft product again.

    I am extremely sorry for the troubles you are experiencing. I will do everything in my power to help you resolve this issue! However, The console did have a purpose at one point and ended up getting this error, Everything has errors.

    - Make sure you are connected to Xbox Live:
    support.xbox.com/.../connection-error-solution

    - Clear your system cache 3 times:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    If that does not work, please refer to the step below:

    - Delete your PROFILE ONLY.

    - Download your profile.

    - Try the update once more.

    I am sorry for someone not responding right away, we do have Official Staff comment every now and again. But you can call 1-800-4-myxbox if non of these help.

    Ok, you can close this thread. Had to send console in for repairs in the end.

    Hi, if the factory reset process you described isn't functional, I would suggest st booking it in for a service. If you are in the preview program using offline update files will not work. If you are out of warranty there will be a cost for repair but
    if it really is caused by the insider update, that will be waived.
