Console won't turn on

So, in essence, I'm sitting and watching Netflix on my XB1. Heard a quick, like snapping sound, somewhat akin to a surge protector, but everything else plugged into it was fine and the switch wasn't flipped. Now my console simply won't turn on, even if plugged
directly into the wall. Is it pretty much done, in that case, or is there a possibility of saving it?

Console won't turn on

the power supply light is orange and I have unplugged from console but the xbox still will not turn on. you can hear it when you try to turn on but the console won't turn on.

Hi Sara, I have tried that as well and still nothing. I keep hearing a buzzing sound when I plug the power cord into my XBox One S, but still no power light. I may have to look into servicing it

EDIT: you may also need to reset the power supply - you can do that here https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/reset-power-supply-solution

Make sure your powersupply is in a well ventilated area and isnt overheating which might cause it to turn off.

If it wont work after running through these steps it may need to be serviced.

Something to note - it's also suggested that your power supply cable should be plugged directly into the wall and not a surge protector/power strip.

If you're hearing a buzzing noise, it could be the outlet - but to be safe, I would also look into service options.
