    Console wont boot up


    I am having a similar issue. Press the power button, nothing on the screen....a few seconds later it powers off. I have replaced my power supply as well. I have disassembled the xbox and it's clean as a whistle, not a single speck of dust. I went ahead and
    put new thermal paste on the processor as a precaution. Reassembled and still having the same issue. Someone really needs to figure out this issue. I'm going to try the hair dryer trick and see if that brings it back to life. If you have found a resolution
    let me know. I refuse to pay out of warranty repair of 130 for an outdated console. I'd rather put that towards an xbox one x

    I've inspected it internally and there is no blockage on the ventilation and the fan runs as needed. Curious as to why the fan has 4 wires? Is there a failed heat sensor in the fan??

    Hey there Craig!

    Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this difficulty getting your console to stay on.

    At this point, if the previously posted troubleshooting did not work, I would suggest following the steps outlined in our online guide entitled "I
    need help with systems updates on my Xbox One    ". First select I NEED TO TROUBLESHOOT A SYSTEM UPDATE ERROR, then select which console you have, choose I AM EXPERIENCING A STARTUP ISSUE and finally
    BLACK SCREEN.

    Another good guide for steps to try would be our page entitled
    Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly turning off    . However, if those steps don't resolve the issue, your console would be in need of repair.

    Give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.
