Console will not update a game.

I played a game 3 days ago on console, logged on this morning and had an update for said game. Its never started the installation so I cleared save files and hard reset my console. It still did not update, so i proceeded to uninstall whole game and add-ons.
Found the digital copy in the online store again and pressed install. Still not installing at all. Have bought a different game today and that has installed like usual with no problems. I really hope there is an answer for this.

A quick check or 2... do you have enough hard drive space for that game you are trying to download? Have you checked the "ready to download" list? The list is next to "installed games" in your games and apps.

There is an initial update that is mandatory. After that update, you can go offline.

Is that the Console update or game update? If it is the console update it is ok. But is there mandatory update for EVERY game purchased physically?

Forza gets at least one update per month; if the console is requiring an update for the game then it must be an older version of this game. It's possible the console is refreshing after updating then detecting the game update.

Please check your console for any updates, it is necessary to have the console updated to update the games.
