    Console Update - Struggling to update to new OS Version.


    Hi Xbox Support.

    My Xbox One console has been struggling to receive a new Console Update to upgrade from Operating System version: "10.0.15063.2022" to Operating System version: "10.0.15063.3045", Error Code: "0x80072EE7 0x00000000 0x00000206"

    I have tried various different troubleshooting methods that include:

    • Turning off the Xbox One by the power button and keeping my finger there to drain the power. Then leaving it off for 5-10 minutes and restarting.
    • Checking the Network Connection which read a good connection almost immediately after inputting necessary details.
    • Turning off the Xbox One by the power button and keeping my finger there to drain the power. Then unplugging the Xbox One from the main power source and wall outlet.

    After each troubleshooting method failed, i had contacted Xbox Support via Live Chat. I discussed my query with a member of support called Romnick. I had told him about my troubleshooting methods and how they did nothing, and mentioned a previous issue where
    my last method had solved that issue, but not this one. I had mentioned that i am apart of the Preview Program, and he stated that errors like these are more likely to happen due to my console receiving special updates like these early. He had suggested i
    take my query to these support forums and await a response.

    Can any member of Xbox Support lend a hand? Thank you very much.

    Ok. I had just tried my last method of Unplugging again and waiting a longer period of time, and the update has finally decided to download and apply. I no longer require assistance. Maybe someone over at the top figured it out or it was just a matter of
    time until it was to be downloaded properly, who knows.

    How do I revert back to a normal homepage on my Xbox one x. My son changed something and my homepage isn’t the same.

    The rollout to General Available OS wasn't announced.

    Would you check your console System OS and version to confirm it is GA?

    What's new xbox system updates has no mention of the new dashboard being released to public OS.

    Guide>Settings>System>Console info.

    Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, there is nothing like that for Xbox updates. There is no way of downloading the Xbox updates on a PC. Even the offline update is taking console to original OS. It will still need an update afterwards to maintain the
    current version of the OS.

    Why should I bother to buy a Xbox X?

    "No differnce when an update is 650Mb (like yesterday) or bigger"

    The size of this update, 650Mb, sounds suspiciously like an Insider preview update. I installed 740MB Insider update yesterday at 25Mbps and from Download, Verifying and Applying took approx 20minutes.

    Check Settings>System>Console info>OS version and compare it to the General Availability OS version from the link I provided above. If they are not the same you are in a Insider preview.

    Let us know what OS version and Shell version you are using on the console.
