Console Update Problem

For 2hours now, my console have been updating, it went super fast at the beginning and then, when I've hit 93% nothing happens anymore... need help please, I have restart the console and everytime it hits 93% it stops....

Looks like a trip to game for a exchange as people on the xbox.com forums have been exchanging their consoles and then updating the new ones and getting a second update that fixes the problem,

 

Troubleshoot No light on the Kinect sensor: How to solve

You might experience problems with your Kinect sensor. If there is no light on your Kinect sensor, there might be problem with the connection.

Any one of the following error messages might be shown:

• Sensor disconnected (C000009D)
• Kinect is turned off (8000000F)
• This game requires a Kinect sensor (C000009D)
• The Kinect sensor isn't connected (C000009D)
• The Kinect sensor was unplugged (C000020C)

The connection problem can be solved by following few easy steps. It can be solved by updating the console software. There might also be problem with the cable connection. If so, then the connection needs to be reset.

Updating console software

To update your console software, you need to insert a Kinect game disc and start the game from the Xbox Dashboard. You might see the following updating message:

Update Required: An update has been found. To apply this update, you must restart your console.

Press Yes and restart your console to update the software.

If you do not see this updating message, you might need to reset your cable connection to solve the sensor problem.

Resetting the cable connection

If your console is Xbox 360 S,You need to do the following:

• First, turn off the console. Ifyour Kinect came with a power/USB adapter, remove it.
• Before turning the console back on, plug the sensor cable into the AUX port on the back of the console.

But if your console is Original Xbox 360, you need to do the following:

• Turn off the console and make sure the power cord is plugged in.
• Check out the USB connector to ensure that it is plugged into the back of the console.

If the cable works properly, you will see green light near the middle of the cable. If you do not see the green light, you need to plug the cable into another outlet to ensure that the cable is working properly. If the cable has gone bad, contact Xbox Support (link at the bottom of the page). Then turn on your console.

If you are still having a problem you might need to check the System settings.

To do this, press the Guide button on your controller and go to Settings and then select System Settings. Go to the Kinect Settings to select Kinect Sensor and select On.

After performing all above, if you cannot fix the problem, the sensor might need to be repaired. You can get support from the Xbox Online Service Center.

Does the Xbox give you an error message or an error code when it gets stuck or does it just stay on the download screen with no progress?

I would suggest looking at our
Xbox One System Update Solution and follow the guide with the issue being experienced and it will provide you with troubleshooting steps.

Also just to make sure it's not an issue with the Xbox's connectivity to your network, I would suggest to unplug your network hardware for at least 5 minutes to force a power cycle. You can also run a speed test on Bing or Google to make sure your download
speeds are normal.

Have you tried the update in offline mode?

I would pause the download and resume the download.

 

I have only 85% of it .... I've been struggling with it for 3 hours but nothing ... only the update image comes in ... good weekend.. GGrrrr

 

If it wont update try updating offline to a stable build!!
