Console Update is Crazy Slow

Xbox One Insider Program Forums for the best information and assistance with bugs relating to the Insider Program. Since the update is still in the early stages, things may not work correctly at times as it is a Beta. So they'll have the best insight and
be able to troubleshoot any potential issues. If you want to opt out of the Insider Program, you can do so from the Insider App on the console. Keep in mind thought that doing so, will cause your console to factory reset and any games and apps will need to
be reinstalled to the console.

That being said, it sounds like there could be a network issue at play here. Have you tried to restart your network connection? Sometimes a Modem and Router need to be reset to allow a fresh network connection to eliminate lag or slow performance. While
your internet subscription through your ISP may be rated at 50Mbps, your console may not be seeing those speeds. So let's check a few things to narrow this down and find the root cause of the issue.

Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the console situation; However, I believe your console might need just a system refresh to perform the system update successfully. I would like you to go through the following
steps to perform a quick power cycle.

I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

If you are still receiving a black screen, I would like you please to kindly follow the instructions below to physically reset your console:

- Turn off the console unplug all the cables then re-plug them back again.

- Click on the "Bind" and "Eject" buttons at the same time after 10 seconds click the home "X" button just once without letting go of the two buttons. Throughout the whole process you will hear two beep sounds and end up with a troubleshooting page. On your
screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.

It's possible that support means that Microsoft wont release future updates and such, but maybe we'll still be able to play online. That's what I hope happens. I understand no future updates when support is ended, but we should still be able to play online.
I just imagine with support gone, multiplayer games will be hacked like crazy.

Anyways, we eventually have to adapt to the new thing. The 360 wont be able to run forever online, so the Xbox One is the next best thing. As for it outliving the Xbox One. it's doubtful. The Xbox 360 is already showing how slow of a console it can be with
the annoying dashboard updates that slow the console down a lot.

Chapter one was slow but chapters 2 and 3 have been crazy!
