    Console turns off in around a minute of turning it on


    Hi, I bought my console back in around April of 2019. I hadn't used it for 2-3 months. I tried playing yesterday but it turned off after around a minute after I turned it on and during that time, it didn't connect to my TV either. I checked the HDMI cable but there's no problem with it. I opened the console up and cleaned it but it is still the same. ANy ideas or advice on what I should do next?

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. I believe it might be a hardware issue, but before we confirm this, please try the procedures below, please.

    Try testing your console on another TV or Monitor if possible
    Change the HDMI port your console is connected to the tv and also the console itself
    Try plugging the console directly into the power outlet, without using a line filter
    Try testing the console on another power outlet

    - If none of the above solutions solve the problem, I'm afraid it's a hardware defect, but before we confirm this, please also try the procedure listed by Microsoft in the link below.

    ok thanks to EggsBoxOne I was able to fix this. I turned my console off, unplugged it for 2 minutes then plugged it in, turned console on and then turned on the controllers!
