Console turns itself on, ejects disc

My Xbox One has been turning on all by itself and ejecting the disc. Seconds later, it takes the disc back in - sometimes turning off, sometimes remaining on. This is especially annoying when I am sleeping, as the constant "ding" sound of the ejection keeps
me awake.

No, a hard reset did not work.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Xbox One randomly ejects disk or turns on.

Ive been having this problem where when the console is on, I will hear the "ding" sound of eject several times. And randomly the disc would eject. Extremely annoying when it happens while im playing a game. For instance I will hear a "ding".... few seconds
later another "ding", a little while later it would eject the disc. Also sometimes it will turn itself on. I would turn off my console, go to work, and a few hours later return home to find it on. Or after turning it off a few minutes later i would hear a
"ding" and it would turn on by itself. Any solutions? Anyone else having the same problem?

Hey buddy,

After a bit of searching around the forums, I found a few other people with you issue, and I also found what might be a solution. Could you give this a try for me and report back your results?

First make sure there is no more disc in your console and then;

1.Press the Home button

2.Press the Menu button (right from the home button),and select Settings

3.From there select Disc & Blu-ray and select Persistent storage

4.Select Clear persistant storage 3 times, it's important you do it 3 times

5.After you've done that perform a Powercycle

(You can do this by holding down the powerbutton on your console for approx. 10 seconds untill it turns off)

6.Unplug the powercord from your Xbox One and from the wallsocket itself and wait for the light on the powerbrick to go out

7.Connect everything again and see if the issue has been resolved

 

I have the same problem, ill like to blame the new update ever since my xbox one when crazy, turning off by itself, ejecting my disc games and disconnecting my controller every 5 seconds help

 

I am have the same problems but i cant do a powercycle because my powerbuttom is not responding to my touch what do i do. I just got this system less than 3 week ago

 

Whatever you do dont send in your xbox one to microsoft for repairs. I sent in mine and for two weeks i didnt have it and all they did was wipe my hard drive clean and tell me there was no issues with it. So i had to redownload EVERYTHING and it still ejected
my disc.

 

well, today my Xbox one took it's last breath. I had to break it because it was roaches roaming all in there damaging my hardware and I had to reset everything and yet it was a very slow process loading my screen, so yeah I got very frustrated and decided
to just demolish it... plus I'm having an exterminator come over and dissolve the problem. I'm very pissed right now, I don't think I should've done that. I just wanted to play my game, and for it to do the things that it did. I thought that you could reset
it to make it like it's brand new, and yet my disc still rejects by itself? What kind of **** is that? Oh well 2 weeks until I obtain a new one.
