This has been going on for a while now but after I have a system update (which is every other day or so). My One X is essentially unusable for a long time after the update completes. My games and apps doesn’t populate, the ads on the home page don’t draw in, the friends list won’t load, and almost everything is very sluggish and unresponsive. The cursor will often freeze for many seconds when you click on something, etc.
This goes on for a good amount of time...maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Some things will eventually start to load in but it usually still requires a reboot or 2 as well to get everything fully working.

Once it “recovers” everything is fine and works like normal until the next update where I have to go through that extended recovery period again.

Thank you all, I tried resetting my console--won't know if it worked until the next update comes out, but hopefully it fixes it.

    Thanks again!

Xbox One Taking Extremely Long Time to Update

    Hey there
    Lightningnode
    ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community for help on this issue.

I can totally see how slow updates could be really frustrating.

If your console has a hard time completing system updates, it might be easier/faster to do it offline instead. Just follow the steps for downloading the OSU update to a flash drive outlined in our

Hope this was helpful. Thanks for reading!
