I only ever planned to use Console Streaming while in the same room as my Xbox, so I assumed I’d be good to go. I own 5 Xbox One controllers (including the ~$150 Elite Series 1), but none of them have Bluetooth, so buying yet another controller just seems like overkill at this point, especially with the Series X around the corner.

I just wanted to see if there was a reason why Console Streaming is Bluetooth-only and if there were any plans to provide an option for direct connection with the console in the future.

My XBox Series S controller is no longer pair to my system.

    Hello PatrickAyres,

Thank you for your contribution to the Microsoft community.

We totally understand that you want to pair your Xbox Series S controller to your system. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Make sure your Xbox Series S console is turned on.

    2. Press and hold the pairing button on your controller until the Xbox button starts flashing.

    3. On your console, press the pairing button on the front of the console.

    4. Wait for the controller to connect to the console.

If this doesn't work, you can try resetting your controller by following these steps:

    1. Turn off your Xbox Series S console.

    2. Press and hold the pairing button on the back of your controller for 10 seconds.

    3. Release the pairing button and wait for the controller to turn off.

    4. Turn on your console and try pairing your controller again.

    I hope I helped!

Recently the Xbox One controller I pair to my PC has started turning on my Xbox Series S. Is there a way to unpair the controller from my console so this no longer happens?

I didn't see any sort of remove controller option when I went to controllers/ accessories on the Xbox.

I had only paired the controller to this console to play a co-op game with another household member and never use it with the system. I find the issue bizarre because it was paired months ago and only became a problem in the last week.

Hello my problem is my sync button is broken so I can’t connect my controller to my Xbox and my Xbox is Xbox one and I tried to fix it but it didn’t work I hope you give me a real solution

Hi Tx! Since your Xbox One sync or pair button is broken, I am afraid that you can no longer wirelessly connect your controller directly to your console. The best option we can do to use your controller is by connecting it using a USB cable.

    Xbox drift issue

    Hi there!

Since it happens to multiple controllers, the issue must be with your console system.

Are you able to navigate through the settings? Try to factory reset it. You may connect your controller using a USB cable instead.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
    Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

If it's not possible, let's do it manually.

Check to see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the mains lead to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the mains lead back in.
    3. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Note The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button.

    4. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Start-up Trouble-shooter.

There's an option to reset your Xbox.
