    Console streaming button gone from Xbox app on Windows 10


    As of less than a year ago, I was able to stream games from my Series X to my PC. I have both on the same network wired via ethernet. My console is set to instant-on and remote play features are enabled in the system settings. The icon for streaming my Series X to my PC is, however, absent from the Xbox app on Windows 10, even despite the app being freshly-installed. I have tried restarting my console and even booting from cold, but the icon still does not appear. I only wish to even use game streaming because Discord has yet to come to Xbox, so I wish to be able to talk to my friends on Discord whilst gaming on my Xbox.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any known fixes? Is it a known issue being worked on? The Xbox console companion app on Windows 10 has a streaming option, but apparently Series consoles are not supported for some reason. If the console companion app is getting Series support and that is why the option was removed from the Xbox app, why was this not mentioned or brought up prior so users didn't have to face this confusion?

    Worked once last week. tried to stream again today and the button was gone. Now the fix didn't work. Seems like a simple thing, you would think MS could get it right.

    This does not work for me. The console streaming option and the Cloud Gaming option disappears a few seconds after a login.
