CONSOLE STOPPED READING DISCS

Could anyone advise me on what to do? Ive had my Xbox one for just over 2 years and never had any problems with it. I have been playing on it regularly and since I put a 360 backward compatible disc in 2 days ago, it will not read any of my discs. It
makes a spinny noise when I put a disc in but will not play the disc. I tried ejecting the disc and putting it back in a few times with no joy. Hard resetting, even made sure they is nothing clogging up the vents.

Xbox one disc drive

i bought an Xbox one a month or two after it was released and a few months after it completely stopped reading discs and I didn't have a warranty or anything so I had to buy another console which is now starting to have the same not reading discs error
I'm hoping I don't have to spent another $500 this is ridiculous.

XBOX ONE LOUD NOISE

This is probably the first sign that your disc drive or hard drive is failing. At least it was in my case; shortly after I noticed the noise my console stopped reading all discs.

Is it able to play other discs besides that particular 360 game you've put into it?

If it can't read other discs, then the disc drive may be malfunctioning, and it will need to be serviced. Check here to register your console's serial number and schedule a repair with Microsoft:

It would have been nice to not have the disc in the drive to play disc based games but seeing how the disc is only being read for like a minute and then stops after the console confirms that its installed on your hdd is not a big deal.

But other disc Are reading only call of duty infinite warfare disc are not reading its install around 6 GB and stopped

This is to prevent piracy. Take care of your disc. There is a pretty obvious reason as to why you need the disc. There is little to no usage of the disc. All it does is read the boot file of the game; the rest is read off of your console's HDD. Your disc
isn't going to break magically. Wear and tear will be kept to a minimum. Your 360 will probably die before your discs ever stop working.
