Console starts up with severe lag most of the time since March 2017 update

We have a xbox one s console purchased this past December. All was fine until the March 2017 update. Now the console boots up 80% of the time with a lag / slowness that makes it unusable in games. We eventually get it to work by restarting the box, including
unplugging the power and waiting a minute before plugging it back in. We've had to go through this up to 5 times until it boots normally. I just installed the May 2017 update and it did not solve the issue (did give me hope by booting correctly a few times
but just hit a bad one again). Is anyone else having this problem?

Problem is seen right away on startup. When startup is bad, the circles on the initial green screen do not move smoothly. They stutter or skip around. We then wait for the start up sequence to complete and restart the console or power down, remove power
cable for a minute and then power up.

Has anyone else seen this problem? If so, any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks.

Hey there CamelSoda!

I'm sorry to hear about the console issues. I would recommend running your console through a full

factory reset. I understand that's a frustrating step however this will give your console a totally clean slate to work with.

Hopefully that does the trick for you.

Hi there,

you could try doing a factory reset on the console, to see if that fixes anything. You can do a factory reset while keeping Games & Apps installed.
